Anyone used these? Are they any good or do they flicker and throw up error codes?

I've got a 2014 skoda octavia 1.6 TDI

NOVSIGHT H7 10000LM Super Bright LED Headlight Conversion Kit, DOT Approved, headlight bulbs, Halogen Headlight Replacement, 6500K Cool White (pack of 2) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HHPMQ1V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ij4tCbD54C4S8

Might be amazing, but also illegal because they don't match type approval with UNECE testing.

They claim to be 150% which is the same as the osram night breaker laser next generation bulbs claim to be too.

Don't think these are legal for UK use - you need the E mark. Click on the supplier to see where they are coming from.

Is there any led bulbs that you can suggest or any other bulb that is brighter and whiter and won't break the bank?

Type approval is for the whole system, LED bulb and housing. So putting *any* LED bulb in a standard (non-LED) headlight asssembly is just plain illegal. End of. You would need to change the entire headlight assembly to one designed and approved for LED use. Which then gets expensive.

If you do fit LED bulbs in to standard headlight assemblies, it may or may not pass the MOT as the MOT isn't testing for Type Approval, it is testing for colour and beam pattern. Either way, if you have a crash at night that is your fault, your insurance could well turn round and blame your undeclared mod (you can't declare an illegal mod) and fail to provide you with cover.

So unless you are changing the whole assembly, just don't bother...

+1, regardless of legality, the beam pattern will be horrendous on anything non-halogen fitted in a halogen reflector unit.

Retrofit OE Xenon units (at significant cost and effort) or change the car to one with better lights factory fitted.
