Media / Sat Nav issues

Featured Replies

Hi, new to this site......got a 2013 Superb 2.0 with the Media unit including Sat Nav.  I'm having issues with the with the Media (Radio/CD/Sat Nav) freezing then switching off.  It can happen entirely randomly and can be 10 minutes, 20 minutes into a journey or not at all.  The media unit switches itself back on almost immediately and will then work again for another random amount of time before switching off again....

Wondered if anyone else has experienced this issues, whether a trip to a dealer to try an software update is needed - or if there is a way to get a software update without going to the dealer......

Any help or advice on this annoying / intermittent fault would be great!

Failing that can anyone recommend a reasonable priced replacement for the system?

Cheers

Same thing was happening to mine recently and it now reboots every 8 mins or so to a corrupted screen, plays the last kow radio station and nothing works on the unit.

Time for a replacement and @Rustynuts may be able to advise and fix/replace.

This topic has been covered extensively, search the forums and you will find good advice. :d
