Wet floor - rear and front

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have just recently purchased a mk1 Fabia estate. I noticed that the floor on the rear and front are wet, not extremely soaking but quite wet. It does not appear there has been any leak from the heater matrix or the coolant, all this seems to be fine. It seems to be just clear water. The car does have a little bit of rust on both sills, especially near the rear wheel arches. I am just hoping that the floor pan is not completely rotten. It did just pass its MOT at the beginning of December. From reading and researching this seems to be a common problems with the Fabias, linked to door seals.

I am mainly looking for a bit of advice on this issue. Will not have a chance to look at the car again properly until the weekend. I am planning to take the carpet and dry it out completely or get a new one.

It's the window carriers that leak and need sealing. It's a nuisance.
