Upgraded to Octavia Front 340mm & Golf R32 rear brake setup

Featured Replies

Often the problem lies with suppliers sending the wrong parts. If you look at sites like EuroCarParts or Mick's Garage, all too often they will list components that are not suitable for your vehicle, despite the fact that you specify your make, model, variant, etc.

I have used EBC for several years and have always received  exactly what I need. As I mentioned in a previous post, EBC only list one 310mm vented disc that covers R32, S3, GTI PP, vrs 245. Naturally they stock different variants, OEM, slotted, grooved, etc. but they are all common to the same vehicles. Likewise the pads.

My discs were EBC.

  • sounds like too much hassle and would be purely for aesthetics as the only donuts i'm doing these days are getting shoved into my mouth.

  • As far as I can see the mk6 Golf R had mech handbrake too. It was not electric until the MQB cars so should fit. Mk5 R32 certainly does, although remember the Golf R was 4x4 there will be differences
