SE Drive spec

Featured Replies

Looks like they've replaced the SE Technology spec with this, there was an SE Drive version of the Yeti when it was in its last months of production but that added stuff liked heated seats & front windscreen to the standard SE specification, doesn't sound like they're giving away too much as yet on the Octavia. Obviously a run out model too as the Octavia mark 3 is going to be replaced later this year.

Just looked it up online, it really just looks like the SE Technology model with a few extras added on to it, such as the larger alloy wheels, quite a decent specification really.

The 1 Year infotainment is worth £0/€0

All of those additions worth a big fat 0.

Floor matts is worth charging for?

Infotainment system is already out of date with better systems out there, bigger by a few inches doesn't make it any better.

17 inch wheels for worse ride quality? (I'm probably just bitter because my car is spec'd with 18inch wheels by first owner)

Worth well additions such as lane keep assist, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise are only standard at highest spec. SE Drive spec has the hint in the name, everything should be geared towards an easy drive: DSG, ACC, LKA, BSA should all be standard on this spec.

I much prefer Korean cars nowadays. Fewer trim levels, mid-level get all the drive assists and largest infotainment screen, but not big wheels what are only good for show-off. Perfect.

I think even the basic Bolero in the S/SE is 8" these days, so the change to Amundsen is primarily nav (and the online stuff which is a bit rubbish anyway).

I've got the same unit in my SE L and I'm happy with it for Bluetooth, SD Card, DAB and CarPlay. I find the inbuilt nav isn't as good as TomTom or Google/Apple Maps but as a whole I find the unit is decent and better than I've had in rental Ford (Focus) or Renault (Kadjar).
