Tarraco

Is the middle row of seats adjustable on the Tarraco (i.e. do they slide forward/backward)?

Would be interesting to know where they are for the official measurement on the Kodiaq - because there's a hell of a difference in loadspace from when they are fully back to when they are fully forward.

  • It's common to launch with a limited range, and add more models / specifications as they go.

yes they slide, 13cm I believe and recline

Also, some reports seem to suggest that there is more rear legroom in the Tarraco comapred to AllSpace and Kodiaq but this is just based on opinion of reviewers

If someone can find the same documents like for the KOdiaq that would be great

It’s like Seat want the figures to be secret. The website has a nice bit where you can move the slider and it shows you the different seat configurations. But it doesn’t show you the load figures for each combination ? it only gives 700L with all seats up and 1775L with all seats down for 7 seater.

Those figues are identical to the tiguan

In the Autogefuel videos the guy with short legs couldn't fit in the back of the tarraco but the main guy on there, Alex I think he's called, with the normal size legs, said it was ok in the back of the kodiaq

i meant the middle row. our use case doesn't really care about seats 6 and 7

what's funny, no reviewer mentions the under seat storage in the Tarraco yet everyone mentiones the scraper and umbrellas in the Kodaiq

Ah ok. They all have the sliding seat function as far as I know and with the same wheelbase I woudl expect them to have the same leg room in the middle row. Think because the kodiaq is a bit flatter sided there's a bit more width across the middle row. This is shown in the brochures

Just watching the Autogefuehl vids again. There's a new video for the terraco (posted yesterday). Comparing the 5 door models, the kodiaq boot is 105cm deep while the terracos is 100cm. He doesn't measure the kodiaq boot more than that

According to a spanish brochure I'm reading for the tarraco, the 5 seat version has a 760L boot

yes have watched the new video yesterday

So In conclusion?

kodiaq load length is 5cm longer. This gives the extra volume in the boot with all 7 seats up 270 vs 230

Despite this, boot volume is slightly lower than the terraco when the rear seats are folded down, probably because height between the load cover and boot floor is less on the kodiaq

Probably because SEAT themselves don't seem to be talking much about it. Tried a quick Google search, but nothing...

Anyway It is in show rooms on the 22nd.

I’ve been given build week 12 and delivery 4-6 weeks later so still time to cancel if I Don’t like it but if it’s like the Kodiaq I highly doubt it.

Does the Kodiaq have proper three point seatbelts on all seats as well?

Not on the middle-middle seat, no... but then I'm not convinced the Tarraco or the Tiguan do either?

Proper three point belts on the rear two seats though.

It does appear so on the pictures but I’m not sure

The anchor point at the top (in the roof) would be where the sunroof is (when fitted).

Pretty sure it will be a lap belt like the Kodiaq.

My Kodiaq has 7 three-point seat belts...

My 2018 SEL has a 3 point belt for the centre seat not a lap belt.

Oh... that shows just how much attention I pay to where the kids belong :D.

Really should know these things, but the kids are old enough to sort themselves out so I just leave them to it and concentrate on the road...

Looks like they go into the roof in seat 6 and 7. this doesn't to be the case on the Tarraco.

So the Kodiaq has the double clips in the back but the Tarraco the same normal seat belts.image.png.26a38123456cda0f71fc325aca1b597a.png

Even when behind the clip as pictured above, I'd be snagging those seatbelts in the Tarraco everytime I loaded the boot.

Not sure why they've decided not to use the VW / Skoda off-the-shelf parts, and design their own...

My Sorento has the belts permanently secured to the floor like the Terraco. A real pain as you say getting snagged and dirty.

be interesting to see if an ice scraper fits in the fuel lid like on the Ateca.
