Just bought a Octavia

Featured Replies

So far so good

I’ve taken it on day of purchase to a Skoda main dealership for a health check  to check if anything was wrong as bought from a independent, and it passed

I've just found out a minute ago that the sat nav maps are 4 yrs out of date!  so updating as I speak

but I do have a couple more questions:

is there a rear reservoir for the wash water? If so where?

The salesman said I've got headlight washers, I’m not so convinced, but if I do - how do I operate them?

do I have automatic wipers?  I’ve got drls and auto lights

its a SE L 1.6 diesel estate

Sorry ‘65 plate

No there is no separate reservoir for the rear screen wash. Yes you will have auto wipers but you can turn the feature on or off in the car settings under mirrors and wipers and then the auto position will become intermittent. If you have headlight washers they’ll be clear to see under the lights and they work with the lights in Auto when the lights are on in conjunction with the screen washers every 5 times you pull the stalk.

Thank you Sasha

I’ll give the wipers a 5 pull whilst my husband is outside the car to test A if I have them and B if they work

im loving the car, really strong and well built x

They are until you have to fill the screenwash every other week during winter :tongueout:

Try filling 2 cars with LED headlights in winter then, almost a weekly job filling up the screen wash reservoirs. Not cool except my cold fingers.

My 65 plate Oct was every 10th pull.

Some are 5, some are 10. Mine are now set to come on with a 2 second pull on the stalk instead :)
