Starting problem

Featured Replies

Hello and good morning.

I have 2016 (65) plate superb L&K. With a starting problem. So the car will I lock and unlock and that’s about it. When I come to start the car; nothing. The Immobiliser won’t even unlock. The battery is fully charge and the key fob is a  relatively new battery. Being a taxi driver it’s sort of crippling me.

Cheers

(its been at my Skoda main dealer for a week now and they have no idea)

Starter button goosed maybe?

Mine was becoming stiffer and I had to press it harder and harder to start the car.  Took it in, replaced under warranty last week.

Now the slightest deft touch starts the car.  Lovely!

ive spoken to the chap about his car and he has had the same problem. So my garage has been in contact with his garage. Hopefully it’s the same so we can get it sorted. Thank god for this forum. It’s bloody brilliant.

Mickey. I’ve had the button replaced once already £146 I’m out of warranty now so it’s not going to be cheap.
