I am looking at buying a used Superb 3.6 V6 4x4 and would like to know which version of the DSG gearbox is used in this model.

It's the same 02E wet-clutch type as the 2.0 TDI & the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines. The main thing to look for is that it has been serviced on time (every 60000 km for a fluid change).

1.8tsi is 7 speed dry in the superb btw. And it's not as nice as the wet clutch setup.

I was going from the service manual for the 02E. It listed the wet-clutch type for 1.8 TSI 4x4 models but on further reading (I was in a hurry when I posted originally) that's for the Yeti, not the Superb.

 

The rest still stands though: 02E wet-clutch was used on both 2.0 TDI variants, the 2.0 TSI and the 3.6 FSI.
