New Petrol Octavia VrS or Octavia Sportline?

True enough! and back on topic! . I think the VRS just comes with all the extras, the 1.9 I have to add loads of stuff.

 To equal the VRS....

My 2017 Vrs245 Special Edition has 4 options and before discounts the MRP was £29,300. However just 18 months later if you want the same spec new car you now have to tick 8 option boxes which pushes the MRP upto £30,860. Therefore the new 245 is  £1,560 costlier than in 2017. Also makes the Challenge look good value against a basic £27,625 Vrs245.

Seats are really the only thing that marks this car out like yours. I might have ticked that box if it was an option. But no matter rrp or total cost and car tax is irrelevant to me.. I'm just effectively paying for use which I see as fixed depreciation of cars value over 2 years with nothing down or up front. If the mk4 is any good I'll consider that. But I'm thinking I'm likely to go bimmer and buy outright (with proper warranty) next time, I quite fancy a dirt cheap low mileage f10 M5 as I don't currently need a car for commuting. Also they respond well to just a stage 1 remap too. Let's see.
