Music - Track Order

Have had the new car for a few weeks and only just got round to putting some albums on a SD card.  Music is playing fine and album art is displaying OK but have noticed that the Amundsen unit is playing the tracks on an album in alphabetical order rather than track no. order.

Can’t see any options in the menu(s) to change this.  Every other device in the house from an iPod to a network player has no problem playing in the correct track no. order so it’s not a problem with the music files.  Anybody else noticed this/got a fix?  Call me old fashioned but I do like to listen to an album in the order the artist decided to arrange it!

@Panther_uk, thanks for info.  Did some investigating this afternoon and think problem may be solved.

I noticed that a couple of albums were OK whilst the rest were not.  The OK albums had the track number at the start of the track title whereas those that didn’t play in the correct order did not have the track number.  Thinking back I realised that the albums that didn’t play properly were ‘ripped’ using EAC (a few years ago) whereas the ones that did play OK were ‘ripped’ using dBpoweramp (recently).  It appears that the Amundsen unit is unable to read all the metadata in the EAC ‘ripped’ albums.  So, whereas every other device I’ve ever used is happy with EAC metadata it appears this particular Amundsen unit is not! Never had this problem in my 2015 Superb II. So much for advancing technology.

My Amundsen unit seems happy with all the tracks transferred to it irrespective of how they were ripped.  However, my wife has an MP3 player that doesn't pick up the data from dBpoweramp ripped tracks.  I can't explain it ands, so far, have not managed to fix it.  There are free mp3 tag editors but you have to be able identify the problem tags before they are of any use.

I had a Columbus unit in my Yeti, I just let it play from my SD card sequentially, I’ve just changed to a Karoq with a Columbus unit I put the same SD card into it and to my surprise it started playing from the point I had left off in the Yeti. How do you explain that, I can’t.
