so am soon due to replace my front pads and discs, looking at Club sports or vagbremtectechnic J hooks but what pads do you recommend? I don’t think standard pads cut it when driving hard...

You ain't wrong there, my fronts were replaced under warranty after 4-1/2k miles. Now at just shy of 17k miles it's got badly lipped rear discs, nasty scoring on the front offside, pads 5mm left on the front & only 3mm on the rears.

 

I like the Clubsport s front discs but, my OCD ain't gonna live with plain rear discs, Yellow stuff are good enough but again, my OCD ain't gonna like yellow pads in red calipers.
