Keyless Entry Keyless Stop/Start

If a Car has Keyless entry, Keyless Stop/ Start and the driver has his key in his pocket and the passenger also has a key " How does there car know who is driving if  both occupants settings are set to a key. "

It defaults to the last driver but can be changed as you're starting up.

I’ve considered this question, but could never be arsed to actually measure it as it occurs so infrequently.

 

I just glance at the screen when I switch ignition on to ensure my name appears as the selected “profile”.

Whenever I’ve had 2 keys in the car I always get Keyfob Low Battery error.

Simple solution, don't give SWMBO the spare, then you don't have the problem. :devil:

We drove to the local BP garage to fill the wife's Karoq, whilst the spare was in my pocket. It seems to remember the key that unlocks it and then uses that one to start it. She was dropping me off as my car was parked nearby as we had made space in our drive for a visitor. Her Karoq has KESSY.:thumbup:
