Apologies I know there is a lot of info on here already re this and I think I trawled most of it. 

 

I think this should be standard on the car , which I only picked up this week, but cannot activate it. 

 

Sit in car , start engine, light switch to auto , pull beam control toward me - no little “A” symbol in the display.....

 

- am I wrong in thinking this was standard? 

Or

- what else could I be doing wrong?  

 

For clarity it it is just the auto high beam I’m looking for- I don’t have the smart light assist in the menus.

No it’s not std. 

 

it can however be coded with VCDS etc. 

High Beam Assist (HBA) is not standard on any grade of Superb.

It has to be enabled via VCDS or ObdEleven.

 

If u have the fancy SLA from factory, it doesn't use HBA, as it has the advanced version of it.

No don’t have the fancy SLA and not fussed about it but the HBA is a big miss for me.  I guess it’s time to dive into the VCDS forum and see what I need to do to sort it.   

 

Annoyingly I was sure what it was standard
