....or in your case, is that 'dogging'?. :P

I think you've missed the point at which Shifty's post stopped and mine started ;)

I try to change lanes without driving over any cat's eyes.

Yep, I do that one as well. Good music helps also.

Sing very loudly in an enthusiastic manner. Well, it amuses everyone who sees me.

How about play Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen very loud and headbang a la Waynes world, and see others reaction.

Or if you have 3 passengers, get them to play seat swap every time you stop.( even if you only move 2 inches). If you are ALL drivers & are insured then everyone change seats.

Watch a DVD :D

same here, or listen to music, when my digi box gets replaced i'll be able to watch TV aswell :D

I do that when changing any lanes if its safe to :o

Play music loud, eat/drink if its really slow moving traffic, and yes like Pixi - Sing loud and don't care who's within earshot alongside. :speaker:

I'm so glad I'm not alone in doing that :)

There's the opposite thing as well, "driving by braille" - budumbudumbudumbudumbudumbudumbudumbudumbudumbudum :D

In slow moving traffic, I just drift off, making sure I'm in the wrong gear when someone beeps me to get going again :D Naturally, I thank the person behind for bringing me back to reality :) I rewind my wool on the way back to my car, then check I haven't dropped any stitches  A quick crunch of the gears and I'm off! Yey!

Well, er, no: stalled Tsk! Get out and apologise for holding up traffic, naturally reverting to a discussion about the weather  Express wonder at how amazing it is that people are so patient...

On a long journey at night time, I have chewy, and think of how wonderful everything would look in daylight during the seasons (snow, flowers, bright sunshine, rain sprinkling through the street lights etc).

I have a couple of favourite games on long journeys:

1. "Build your own car" -observe the hard shoulder and central reservation for bits of car. See how close you can get to building a complete motor. Generally it ends up with 6 front bumpers and 23 wheels, but it's fun to try. A variation on this is to try and spot the most expensive single part by the roadside.

2. "They really shouldn't have "-spot the nastiest, tattiest most ****-tastic custom you can. Points awarded for Huge exhausts and peeling window tint.

Otherwise, it's Radio 4, iPod or the other game of "shouting at TomTom" ;)

Phil

i talk to the car....... in the hope that 1 day it will talk back (from an imaginary flashing red led display on the dashboard)
