Hello there, new to the group, I’m 18 and looking to get my first car a Fabia vrs. The 1.9s are by far my favourite sounding little hatch’s out there I’m curious which is the best Pd engine been told the 130 but wondered what you guys think, and is the special edition worth the money?!

All of the Mk1 VRS's are the 130hp 1.9 diesel. The mk2's were the 1.4 twin-charged petrol.

 

I'd do a few insurance quotes before setting your sights on one, they're not at all insurance-friendly. I'm 38 and if I hadn't got a lot of NCB to throw at it, I was looking at £1500 a year to insure mine. I used to have a 5 door Ibiza Sport with the same engine as the Fabia VRS and it was a bit better on the insurance.
