Got light assist on the dash. Any one got any clues?

 Will usually ask you to clean the window if that is the problem. That's what happens on mine anyway.

I’ve cleaned the lens behind the mirror and on the glass as well. 

Could be a number of things, you should get it scanned with VCDS or similar.

Cheers. I’ve had a look in my own system but can’t find anything ! :/

This thread may shed some light. I have the exact same error, and I've posted the OBD11 reported static faults errors.

I believe this is the sensor needs replacing:

Cheers Wyx. The funney thing is though is the auto lights work as normal when the switch is in the normal position.

Which switch are you talking about?

 

My car automatic dawn/dusk dipped beam lights work as normal when the light switch is set to Auto position.

But my car's High Beam Assist (HBA) doesn't work, whenever I push the stalk forward first time after starting the car, I get the same error on the dash as your photo. My car can no longer go into HBA auto mode, it stays as dumb high beam that I have to control.
