Full LED rear lights

Featured Replies

I have recently got the reverse led bulbs but want to find some legal indicator led bulbs? Anywhere in the UK I could buy them from?

Just hope maybe one they may bring out new rear light units so I can just swap them out lol.

Surprised this hasn’t been done yet.

It’s a shame the rear assembly isn’t full LED but I assume there’s a reason for it?

Either way, my experience with LED bulb conversion in the past has not been good......

Just a thought, does the Ateca have full LED rears?

Not sure, but pretty sure the kodiaq does. And looks like the kamiq will have full led rear lights, strange how they have left the karoq out.

If they brought out new rear units, I would defiantly purchase them.

Indicators and reverse gear bulbs are not LED in Ateca, similar to Karoq

It is strange, I wonder what the reasoning is.

Probably keeping it for an L&K version?

That is possible tbh, wouldn’t surprise me. I wouldn’t mind though as then I can change mine lol.

Have a look at the Skoda Karoq guides section it gives you all the info there under fitting rear LED lights

I put that guide together and have had no problems with my LED lights since fitting them. Not sure about the legality of it though.

………….. and a good guide it is too, changed mine also using your guide

I’ve just been stung by the Royal Mail on behalf of UK customs on an item costing $10 from Ali Express......£11.06 on top, more than the cost of the item by 1.5 times. Admittedly th bulk of the surcharge was RM fees, but still a shock.

Ali Express said I was to allow it to be returned for non payment and they would refund when it was back with them but I figured that was too fraught with options to go wrong so I paid up. Plus I needed the product.

To be fair, I’ve bought a few things in recent years without any problems, however, I’m now a bit reluctant to play, especially as their reluctance to take PayPal on most items now is becoming the norm for them.

It's just luck of the draw. Customs aren't able to process all items, so if yours gets through then great, looks like you've just been unlucky.

Am I missing something?  Only sales literature says LED Rear Lights?

The 'rear' lights are indeed LED's but the 'indicator' and the 'reversing' lights are bulbs.

Some might say, strictly speaking the advert is correct. 'LED rear lights' v 'LED rear light cluster' .....

I blame Blair and his handler Campbell for introducing this type of misleading speak.
