Is the Fold while reversing only supposed to work on 1 side and only when my mirror control is set to that side?

 

I always have the heated mirror option on, but would love for both my mirrors to turn downwards while reversing no matter what setting they are in, is that not possible?

 

At the moment only the right mirror is turning when I go to reverse and the mirror control is on that side, so assuming that is correct then it work as intended, but not as I hoped

 Yes it's only supposed to work only on the near side, e.g the one furthest away from the driver.  I would assume the rationale is that you are closer to the other mirror and the angle allows a better field of vision whereas the field of vision on the mirror furthest away isn't great due to the angle and distance from which you are viewing it. 

 

In order to have the mirror tilt/dip then the mirror control needs to be set to the 'R' position for you, I believe.  It's 'L' in the UK.  So it's not possible to have the heating function and mirror dip in reverse enabled at the same time. 

I can not find this option on my 2016 SE. Am I missing something  and which models have it?

It wasn't enabled on my 2015 Elegance, so I enabled it with VCDS - but don't use it as it rarely returns the mirror to the same position so it's PITA.
