Sill Protectors...Citigo

Featured Replies

Auction sites  offer Chinese black vinyl(mainly 3d carbon effect) at £2,and dealer items available at £45+.

Before some one tells me I'll get what I pay for,has anyone bought some at a lowish price to cover the wide sill..........

A bit too much paint on show when the door is open for my liking.....

I've fitted the genuine Skoda 'Stainless Steel' ones to a Citigo in the past, and while they look smart they are nothing more than bits of plastic glued on with a very thin stainless steel insert, they don't cover that much of the sill as they are quite small, whether they're worth the asking price is debatable. Some of the third party ones might actually be better as they might cover more - £2 isn't a lot of money to waste if you end up not liking the Chinese ones

I bought the stainless ones. They do not provide much protection. I supplemented carbon look vinyl for protection.

I added a carbon effect wrap to the rear bumper as well as the sills to stop my Border terriers from scratching the plastic.

It's relatively simple to cut out the shape required to fill the areas required and really easy to fit with warm soapy water.  Once you're satisfied with the positioning use a felt squeegee to squeeze out the water bubbles.

The 2 door sills and rear bumper covers have been on for nearly three years and show no signs of wear.

All for under £5 from your favourite auction site and different colours are available.

How about something like this?

Thats more of what I had in mind Simon........certainly a neat job in fitting. Do you have a source??

I got them from RGM Rearguards a few years ago but looking at their website now I can't find them.
