Stop / Start Mind of it's own

Featured Replies

This may just be me being picky but I have noticed that the stop start system sometimes just does it's own thing. I have had it on quite a lot and have noticed on a few occasions that when I come to a stop (foot off brake with auto hold on) the engine just keeps running.

Any ideas?

Many many things can cause it to stop/start and the Car button on your infotainment system should give a clue. Sometimes it's the generic 'power consumption too high' which can be anything.

Things that can affect it include:

Battery condition

Windscreen misting up

Aircon settings

Steering angle (full lock)

Steep hills

Phase of the moon

Distressing colour nearby :)

Many thanks Buddy.

Just disconnect the sensor on the negative rail of the starter battery, by by stop/start hello fully charged trouble free battery.
