Update: I am going to pay the balloon payment and keep the car.  I will then look at the new VRS model, when it comes out In a year or so.

I have also also bought a warranty for it, that is pretty comprehensive, so I have piece of mind. 🙂

  • If you keep it, run it for a year or two and sell it, it will be worth something.    Say only £5k, which is a low estimate.   you do don’t have to pay a new deposit.   yo

Sounds like a sensible plan, means you can wait until the new version is out (whatever date that might be).

Even if it delayed a bit, you still have a car you like, and you know what date it will be fully paid for (when your bank loan is repaid).

The cheap PCP says are gone, residuals are now low, so will either end up paying a big deposit or big monthlies.   Best bet now (when eventually do change car) is to take a deal, then fully repay it on days 5-12 (as repayment is penalty free during cooling off period) having arranged cheap bank loan elsewhere.  Of course if too many do this, then this letting others subsidise your PCP discount might also disappear.
