Just called my local dealer in Cardiff who intially stated it would be 200, but after saying it can be done else where for 137 matched the price.

 

They want me to leave the car with them all day, or if I would like it to be done whilst I wait, I would have to wait for an appointment 3 and half weeks away and wait 2-3 hours on the day?!

 

I was thinking it would be a 15min job like Sasha said. Has anyone else been able to get it done quickly and if so which dealer?

It is a 15 min job, no question about that. I guess the workshop is very busy or that’s their technique to making you sit in the showroom and get talking about new cars but there is no way it takes longer than 20 mins to install SmartLink. 

skoda need to sort out the unscrupulous dealers or change their name to 'Scammer'
