Replacement DPF compatibility?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I'm looking for a replacement dpf for a 1.6 TDI 2013.

There seems to be a plethora of ones out there for the 2.0 TDI.... Surely the 1.6 CAYC is the same? They look identical.

Strange how the models found will fit other 1.6 TDI such as an Octavia and A3 but not the yeti.

Struggling to find a compatible used or new filter and not fussed for having it cleaned for the £.

Literally need one to replace the faulty one I have so I can simply Webuyanycar the old girl and get my hands on a new Kodiaq.  Grrrrr.

Thank you!

Has the car had "the emissions fix" following dieselgate fiasco. If so then it may be covered under the extended warranty. I would check with Skoda before shelling out for a new/other dpf.

Thanks Colin but it hasn't been back due to modification. Remap and larger intercooler. Put plenty of fault free miles on it even with modifications.

Would wipe the £££ Shark remap etc so ignored the recall. Has been a great, fault free car. Apparently the 1.6 TDI run dog rough compared to other updates.

Just want to roll the car back to standard. Won't get much for it but it's currently unsellable. If I can get a dpf for sub £500 I'll still get more for it on trade in than scrap!

Have you looked at any similar models being broken for parts? Either on eBay or via one of the larger dismantling companies.

eBay has proven to be ineffective with the search engine. I keep searching though.. Open to finding a decent breaker.

Had the hood up today but when trying to find a VW AG part number I could only see the heat shield. I know the turbo is different on the 2.0 TDI but I'm sure that if the diameter is the same the 2.0 dpf from a yeti must fit the 1.6 if it runs on the Audi 1.6 and Octavia 1.6.

A part number would be a great place to start :)

I doubt the ebay compatibility checker it completely correct. It might be better if you can find the part number for your DPF and search using that instead?

You should double check but at a guess, it'll be 1K0 254 707 FX which suggests this might fit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273749310040

You could try Hills Motors;

Really good advice to confirm the exact part number for your car.

A good dealer Parts Dept might be able to assist with that query, based on your VIN.
