4x4 brake shield part no??

Featured Replies

Just a quickie - has anyone got the part numbers for a 2007 Octy 2.0 TDi 4x4 Estate rear brake disk shields?

Both of ours have come away at the screws and I want to check I've found the right ones before ordering outside the dealer network.

Thanks in advance

Compare your last 8 VIN digits with the last 8 digits of the ranges shown here for item 8s with 1X1 (4wd) in the 'data model' column https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2007-419/6/615-615065/ to work out which ones suit your car.

F>> xxxxxxxx means chassis numbers up to and including xxxxxxxx

F xxxxxxxy>> means from chassis number xxxxxxxy onward.

Hopefully the 10th digit of your VIN is an 8, which will make the suffix AH parts the right ones without having to delve further.

There looks to be at least one error in those chassis number ranges (the ones with 7A as digits 10 & 11, for the left side, the later (-AH) range should start from 859, not 201, I think.)

Cheers both...   It looks like we're could be a couple of options that will fit from the info posted by xman, one of which have the stem across the open end whilst the other doesn't.  I'm pretty sure mine have e stem but may need to cut that off to fit them by loosening the disk but leaving e caliper in place...

However I'll check the chassis info against winos info as well...

Why is stuff never straightforward...

Skoda-parts.com have a compatibility checker somewhere if you sign up to their website that uses chassis no (VIN) also email/telephone support

I also found the guy at http://www.theskodashop.co.uk (which is Horton Skoda in Lincoln) very easy to talk to and gives really excellent competitive prices on parts, just give him your reg no and uses the Skoda parts ordering system to check.

Tel 01522508650 and ask for theskodashop.

PM me if you'd like any help, it is straightforward once you learn the format of the partial VIN numbers in ETKA (dump the first 6 digits, replace the 9th - and sometimes 11th - digit with dashes, compare what's left).

On the page I linked it's just the 9th digit that's been turned into a dash.
