Noise Amplification ?

Featured Replies

Hi again,

Strange title I know, but bear with me...

My Superb SEL Exec has a Pan Sunroof and as the sun was shining yesterday, decided to make full use of it.

As I went to operate the switch, my fingers brushed against the plastic surround and this insignificant "noise" appeared to be amplified through the car speakers !

I then became obsessed.... any "scratching" of plastics near to the switch was also amplified throughout the cars audio system.

I hope this makes sense - does anyone know if this is normal ?

Thanks very much

There is an option in infotainment to boost the voice of the front passengers and play it through the speakers so that rear passengers can hear them better. If that is on and you are scratching loud or near enough for microphone to pick up, it might explain what’s going on.
