Hi guys, I’ve just got my self a mk1 fabia VRS and I’m having issues with the alarm randomly going off during the night, has anyone else had this issue and got any advice?

If you use the key to lock, that will disable the volumatic sensors, which might help determine why it's activating...

I think this tends to be related to dying/leaking internal back-up battery in the horn unit.  I've seen it elsewhere on Briskoda, including ways to DIY replace the offending rechargeable battery.  Can't remember exactly where unfortunately.

Had same problem, right volumetric sensor was bad. In my case it didn't respond to movement in the car, you can test it that way. These sensors are cheap and are plug and play but installing them is a headache as you need to remove bunch of things.
