BSB 2019

Great to see Ryan Vickers 8th in practice yesterday. Just turned 20 and in only his second race meeting on a Superbike ahead of some 'big' names, I see a bright future for this lad (but we said similar things last year about Bradley Ray and that hasn't worked out so well).

Really looking forward to this weekend's BSB round at Cadwell Park; the VIP hospitality package always helps!

Still don't understand why they moved it off the Bank Holiday weekend the last few years.

Haven't Silverstone got the MotoGP race on the bank holiday weekend this year?

Yes, you probably also heard the Cadwell Park commentator explaining that the reason for moving BSB to today was due to MotoGP next weekend, so all the marshals etc will be at Silverstone supposedly. Cadwell was fun this weekend but annoying with its own weather system and the circuit stupidly insisting on bikers parking on grassy slopes, which are still soft after the downpour on Friday, whilst allowing cars to park in the flat car parks. Not impressed.

It's been a few years now the BSB has been a week earlier. Does Silverstone (aka Circuit of Wales) always have a bank holiday GP?

Mind you that should be at Donington anyway, since CoW can't fullfil it's contract with FIM but that's another story.

I didn't hear anything in commentary, it just came up in conversation (perhaps subconsciously promoted by the commentary???).

I thoroughly enjoyed today although the BSB races seemed unusually processional. A great day for Ryan Vickers after his qualifying woes, might there be a podium before the end of the year?

It was in June until 2012, but since then either last weekend in August or first in September since, so that is most likely why the Cadwell BSB got switched.

Cant believe it's 10 years since Donington last held the GP (Dovis first win), but the Ill-fated reconstruction of that track for F1 pretty much put them out of business for any major series ever since. Mind you if the FIM was willing in 2014 to give the Circuit of Wales a 10 year contract  over any other British circuit, they cant be entirely happy with Silverstone. I'd love to see the GP back at Donington.

Scott Redding #1

Great effort Josh Brookes winning all 3 races at the finale, but not quite enough to take the title from his team mate.

  Well done to both!

Scott off to WSB testing next week with his new Ducati team.

Loved the end of season and well done to Be Wise Ducati Scott and Josh.

Nice tribute to Keith Flint and the season's racing.
