Welcome,

The 2nd scout owner today. I'd better get my skates on and decide which one I'm having :)

176k seems like a fair point to pass her on.

A warm welcome to the Forum !

Hi nino, im in the same boat but im putting more and more into keeping mine on the road i think its time for me to move on.

At the moment the air con matrix has a leak so hasnt worked for years, the back wiper has died, my airbag light is on , along with a seatbelt warning light which beeps every few drives. My latest woe is a screaching sound when turning left which has me concernerd.

Looking forward to something newer now☺

Cheers

Good luck with the new one

I'm doing similar for a car now too, no where near as bad as that but fixing each niggle, kind of enjoyable, but if/when it hits 200ish a month I think, hang about this was meant to be cheaper while WLTP sorts itself out. Then the bottom fell out of big old petrol cars value too :( The new lighter small engine turbos ... still out on how good they will be in 100k+. Maybe in 14years we'll have sussed it and all be in hydrogen/solar cars, or maybe beyond driving all together and just in a virtual world. Some already are.

Just about to trade in my 1.4 tsi estate (Jan 2010, 76k miles). It's been reliable and efficient. Can't speak for what would happen at 100k though.

It has enough power to accelerate reasonably at motorway speeds, and is quiet on a good surface.

Also shout out to All Electric Skoda Birmingham (Kings Heath) who've been great in the 6 years I've used them.
