Mk2 superb buzzing noise

Featured Replies

Have a 2010 model only after a pile of work done. New engine, engine checked over, new clutch&flywheel and catalytic converter gutted. Have got a buzzing noise coming from either somewhere under the dash or the engine bay. It was there before the clutch was done nearly sure it was there before the cat was gutted. Buzzing starts from take off up to roughly 2000 rpm, any suggestions or should I take it to a dealership?

It was done and tidied up so that it looks like it wasn’t touched so hopefully it’ll pass. If not I’ll just buy a cat from a local breaker

What engine do you have?

Without a CAT it will never pass emission test EVER:blink:

Plus unless it was remapped to remove the DPF management stuff disabled, you're going to have a bunch of engine issues very soon.
