Can someone please help?

I have a Skoda Octavia, 2007, automatic, 1.6 fsi. While driving and after engine warms up, it starts to jerk badly. Almost immediately the EPC warn light comes on, and the car continuous to go in what it seems to be a safety program (almost no acceleration, low speed). Sometimes it gets worst and after EPC lighting, the car stops and cannot be restarted for some time after. After some attempts it starts again with EPC on and again in a safety mode program.

When the engine is left for some hours to cool down, it starts again normally with EPC off, until it gets warm again.

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Start by getting the car scanned for fault codes with VCDS or similar. Should give you some clues
