Time will tell I guess.  I'm relaxed about it.

2017 Jungle Green L&K TSi 4x4 on the way (pending inspection when the dealer gets it in).

Be quick, if you don't buy it, the person viewing it after you will.

Not a good time to be buying a Yeti. They're very much liked and new/low mileage examples, especially petrol and in L&K trim, as you've discovered, don't stay for sale very long.

Deposit taken so its definitely ours if we want it upon inspection.  But agreed you need to be on your toes and willing to travel.

We've found that competitively priced examples in the best colours do sell very quickly (in a matter of days of being advertised), especially close to London (Slough, Watford, Croydon etc).

The Quartz Grey one we looked at that was a bit pricey and is out in the sticks is still hanging around after a couple of weeks however, and white and black ones in general seems harder to shift.

Fingers crossed she's clean. Jungle Green isn't for everyone, but it certainly makes this particular Yeti even more rare.

Jungle Green was/is the 1st choice colour, so happy days.

Hope you enjoy your new car, I had two great years with my Yeti 1.4 L & K. I found it advertised online a month or so ago for sale in Peterborough for around £18,000 but it was only there for a few days before it sold. It was Business Grey which was a good colour if you don't want to wash your car too often. I'm guessing that people are more keen to buy the petrol engined version than the diesel these days which might explain the demand for this model.

I purchased a late 2015 LK 1.4 petrol (Jungle Green) early last year fro a dealer. Had to travel a bit as they are like the proverbial rocking horse poo! (Wanted petrol not Diesel).

I love the car and so far it has averaged 44mpg. I originally got it to tow a larger caravan but OH then decided caravaning is no longer an option so I am considering selling it (never fitted a tow bar). Problem is dealers are not offering a lot part ex (12k) which is a bit too big a hit for me to take at the mo. Do you think it would sell for a better price if I went the Autotrader private sale price?

In a word yes, but private sale involves hassle of course. You could also try Tootle.co.uk...I got £500 more for my MK2 Octy through them than part ex a couple of years ago.

BRISKODA 'Cars for Sale' can be a good place to offer a Skoda for sale.

Private buyer selling to a private buyer that knows what they are looking for. Especially when a car that people are looking all around the country to find.

The quest for the Yeti L&K 4x4 TSi continues, the one we put a deposit on wasn't up to scratch. A few more fish in the sea however, there's even a 67 plate entered the market.

So all being well we'll be collecting a Jungle Green L&K 4x4 on Thursday.

Just to share the benefit of my experience 2017 Petrol L&K in good colours (ie not black or white)  seem to sell quite well. We've heard of cars reserved before they have arrived at the dealers on several occasions. Over the last six weeks there's never been more than 10 examples nationwide on Autotrader at one time and the vast majority are Skoda Approved.   We haven't seen dealers willing to move much on price which is likely to be in the range 17000-18500 for mileage < 12K

Most of these cars are ex-lease, or at least haven't come from private owners so they tend to have one or two unrepaired scuffs and minor dents.   Most seem to be sourced from closed auctions so to be fair the dealers probably don't see them before buying

I guess with them being easy to sell quickly dealers are loath to shell out on minor repairs so careful inspection is required.  Be prepared to walk away but that can be frustrating when you've traveled to view.

Yeti and other Skoda models are arriving in the used car market weekly from BCA at end of the 3 year lease or sooner if handed back sooner, and that is after the Advanced Payments were quite low as Skoda were getting them shifted in 2016.

They will show an individual's name as the registered keeper if it was a Motablity owned car as the V5 goes in the person leasing's name.

Won't these cars registered in the spring of 2017 have been on two year leases?

Yes but above is talking about 2016 cars which will be at the end of a more normal 3 year lease.

My july 2017 car is on a 42 month lease to dec 2020

.....well done with your purchase, I am sure you will enjoy it.  We got ours (1.4tsi LK) early last year and have been really pleased with it so far, acceptable performance and 40+MPG. Ironically I will be selling it shortly as I simply no longer need a 4*4. (Originally got to tow but changed my mind, so no towbar fitted).

Not sure what to replace it with (considering a 1.2 yeti if I can get a low mileage good spec), and dealer offers are quite low (I understand they need to make a profit). So I may take a punt and advertise on autotrader, (or on here if I can find out how), and see if anybody interested...

So the quest is finally over....

(Now I have to wean myself off daily monitoring of Autotrader).

So if you like the car, are getting 40+ MPG then why change? It will cost you a lot of money for what? Keep and enjoy your existing car
