Morning folks, i want to put an armrest in the centre console, does anyone know if the golf 4 armrest will fit? (Or passat etc). Also, one of the cables from my electric windows has bust, and i can seem to find a replacement kit, main dealer will only sell me the complete frame with its subsequent main dealer price tag! Sorry mate, front left hand side. Its the smallest of cables, goes from front frame runner to motor

 

Plenty of complete mechanisms for sale on eBay 

I was assuming you meant an electrical cable, but did you mean one of the steel cables that operate the window lift?  If that's the case ebay offers a variety of repair kits as @nige8021 suggested above.  The cables themselves are not available as an individual item.

Most of the golf armrest will fit, but I'm sure I've seen somewhere on here, the main mounting bracket to the floorpan is Octy specific ? and looking in the parts listing https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2003-252/8/863-863060/#75  would seem to confirm this  

 

Also from experience, don't get the basic repair kit for the window mechanism, as you need to be a contortionist with 5 pairs of hands to fit it, get the complete mechanism so you just need to bolt your motor unit to it
