Hi all,

Im aboout to purchase a bumper gaurd from Reargaurds but ive heard they have changed the dewign so the no longer fit VRS or Scout models as well as they did. Has anyone got any recent experience of buying one and how well did it fit .... also is there any alternatives you would consider.

I got satin stainless steel bumper and boot-sill guards for my MY16 Scout (estate) from Superskoda. They take a beating (from Dogs, Logs and heavy boxes) and I'm very impressed with them.

Yes, they have changed but still good IMO. See my post here (albeit mine is pre facelift)

They'll never be the cheapest, especially with shipping, but they're almost certainly the best, Milotec. I've had two, one for my MkII Octavia Scout, and more recently the Kodiaq.

Silver1011 - I like the look of the milotek one but how much of a faff is it ordering from their website and how long did deliver take ?

 

Jono- is it the massive stainless.one you have on their website and how well does it blend with the other silver bits under the bumper ?

It didn't take long, less than a week if I remember correctly.

 

You have to create an account on their website before ordering, but it takes minutes.

Thanks folks,  i like the inner liner you have jono. For some reason (possibly due to the website yranslation they use) they have one called "glossy stainless" and another one they call "massive stainless" which i think is the matt version you have.

I do prefer the ridged look of these two designs over the rear gaurds version . Its suprising that the scout doesnt come with this as standard.

I got some other stuff from them at the same time.

 

Boot net, thick rubber tall-lipped mats, and stainless pedals were half the cost they were on the factory options sheet.

 

Does the liner go over the lip of the boot and are the both brushed stainless.... i could only see the glossy verwion of the inner liner on their website. Thanks

  Fitted the silver painted version nice fit paint looks nice but feels rough 

Just be careful with some of these guards. Had a RGA 'Rearguard' on a Ford fitted completely as per instructions, not only did it curl with age and dig into the bumper plastic but it also arched enough to rub the paint from the bottom of the tailgate.

 

Would have done less damage without one
