WHICH FILTER SHOULD I HAVE IN MINE FOR ENGINE SIZE AND CODE ABOVE A SHORT ONE PU8021 FROM MANN OR A LONG ONE PU8014 FROM MANN.

ON MY LAST SERVICE FROM SKODA THEY FITTED LONG ONE. BUT I AM GETTING A SHORT ONE WHEN I GO TO EURO PARTS PU8021.

HOW CAN I TELL IF I HAVE A WATER COLLECTOR OR NO WATER COLLECTOR

AND WHEN I WATCH YOU TUBE PEOPLE ARE FITTING SHORT FUEL FILTERS?

MISTAKE

Short one was wrong for me and only Mann suggested it was a short filter. At ECP also.

I ordered a Mann and it was completely wrong and I ended up with a UFI or Bosch instead.

Every company bar Mann suggested a longer filter

Compare it to the recommended UFI/Fram/Bosch filter for your vehicle.

FWIW the canister was UFI and the longer one matched the original.

What does the sticker say on the outside of your fuel filter housing?

Cheers I change it for a Bosch Filter. Look at other Mann Filter and it had a water trap tube which mine doesn't have.

Thanks for everyone for your help now exchange my Mann Filter for a Bosch Filter as this is right size now. Mann Filter half the length of Original VAG Filters.

Whoever advised you on the short MANN filter got it wrong.

MANN do the correct (longer) filter, genuine Skoda filters are often manufactured by MANN...

That's is the one I ordered and same part number they have admitted tonight that they have wrong photo on there systems showing wrong type of filter under Mann. The Longer Filter from Mann as a water trap fitted which mine don't so settle for Bosch Long type as per photo.

The oem filter housing is manufactured by UFI (Mine has it all over along with VW logos)

The man online catalogue suggested the short one a few months back.

I posted a picture of an example fuel filter housing earlier, asking what numbers were on the OP's housing. This is the easiest and most reliable way of confirming the correct fuel filter part number.

My screen grab above shows the UFI option too.
