Help needed, does yours do this?

Featured Replies

I have to take my Fabia Vrs (06) back about what sounds like a creak near the window screen under the dash. It appears to be the bonnet. I've been told it was body flex, e.g They all do it sir.

Does anyone else get this? I'll print this off and take it to the garage if the concensus is no.

Cheers,

Kai

Mine is doing this too. It appears to be in the same place. I have it booked in to be fixed. I culd do it myself but thats what a warranty is for.

For you information. Its probably a nut tightening/greasing under the dash. Access is via the drivers side of dash end panel. Let me know how you get on. if its easy I might do it myself and avoid the garage hassle

Thankfully no problems at the garage, fixed by a friendly mechanic. At the edge of the bonnet (the end near the window screen) there are two small plastic blocks which stop the bonnet wobbling when driving (one each side, near where the hinge bolts on to the bonnet. This was dry and rubbing against the body, which echoed along the body and into the car. A dab of oil / vasiline should shut it up.

Is a joy to have quiet now, it was driving me absolutly insane!!! (I had even wished I was driving my old astra!).
