Help with Airbag light?

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a Fabia Vrs MK1, the air bag light came on 2 days ago, took it to my garage who i know and trust and he put his scanner on the car, looked at the code and identified it as a passenger airbag. There are no airbags on the front seats, and his snap on tool identified it as the passenger side, in the dash, which he said he has not come across before? He cleared the code, light off and i continued with the trip home. He advised it could have been a loose connection at the back and possibly remove the glove box and have a look myself..... he knows i enjoy this sort of thing....... I drove about 15 miles back home and all seemed well. Got in my car the next day for work, and bingo - back on!!!

Before i get involved, has anyone else come across this with their own car, if so please advise how you fixed it, or does anyone have any ideas where to start and how to address the issue? obviously earth off the battery to start....

Thanks

Ben
