Park Assist Not Working Right

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was rear ended in an accident and parking sensors were removed and replaced.

However, if i reverse when I start the car (ie without turning on the infotainment system it will just beep without the graphic and not show graphic till i switch the infotaiment system on.

Also there are times I have drove off and its not taken the graphic away and need to press × on the screen before it goes.

Any ideas why, the problems dont happen all the time either so hard to explain to the body shop whats wrong.

If you turn the infotainment system on it takes a short while to wake up, like a computer.

If you are reversing as soon as you start the car maybe the infotainment system is not yet on and ready.

Thanks AG Falco

Its not been a problem before the car went into the body shop.

Have you tried a soft reset of the infotainment system?

Sometimes my graphic disappears at around 15 seconds, recently it remained on throughout a 125mile journey!

sensors go off if another car passes me on a narrow road or comes too close to the front or rear of the car,

once or twice they have gone off while climbing or descending a slight slope. inspection before delivery must be rubbish.
