Hi

Has anyone wired a tow bar electrics on a Roomster (Scout 2012). is it a simple DIY job? I've read about CAN-bus, does this apply? Any help gratefully appreciated!

I'm not going to install the tow bar but I need the electrics for a bike carrier lighting board.

Couldn't face it on my 2010 Roomster. It is complicated by the need to programme the reverse beep and picture on the  screen. That was according to my towbar fitting garage.

If I remember correctly, there is a harness-extension to be connected on the right hand taillights connector, that allows the tow bar to be connected too.

 

So yes, unbolt the light cluster, disconnect, connect the extension in between and route the extension down behind panels and whatnot towards correct location.
