Fab 1.4 16v with full FIS? The central part of the dash used to show stuff like outside temperature, MPG etc with the upper part showing several standard symbols. The symbols are still there but I have lost the temp, MPG and the other bits it used to be able to cycle through. Anyone any ideas where to start, please.

Perhaps the display is still working but you can't see it because the backlight has failed.

The instruments are simple to remove and dismantle, then plug the PCB back in to see if the display is working or not, you'll be able to see it without the dark bezel in place.
