Fuse blows intermittently. 1900 TDI 2003

Sounds like there's a problem ;)

If you tell me what model car you have then I'll move this to the relevant section.

Sorted.

@john999boy - Not that this actually helps us tell what is causing the blown fuse symptoms.

@KenONeill Hopefully this area will attract a better response though.

Front or rear wiper fuse blowung?

Id be looking at the rear wiper assembly having corroded internally... If you pull the fuse for the rear unit, and then see if theres an improvement.

The windscreen wiper fuse blows sometimes straight away sometimes days later.there does not appear to be a sensor on the bonnet which l heard can be the problem.l have taken out the rear wiper fuse it doesn't work anyway. Also heated water fuse for head lamp washers and headlamp  wiper fuse ,they dont exist anyway. That was Friday today is Tuesday. Nofuse blown yet.

Any thoughts. Is it a matter of time .have l cured  it.

Sounds like theres a short in there somewhere on a circuit youve disconnected..

Is the lights washer "dont exist anyway" because they were removed?

Are you sure? Headlight washers were standard on the Elegance and Lauren and Klemens trim levels from 2001 on.

This is why i was wondering... if they werent there ever, why would there be fuses to pull...

My money is still on the rear wiper assembly shorting out though.. when mine started to die, it put my front wipers on constant until i pull its fuse.. no reason why it couldnt also keep blowing the fuse.

Id pull the boot trim off, an disconnect the power supply cable to it, check it obvious damage/corrosion, then put the fuses all back in and see what happens..
