SEAT Mii Production stopping in July, is the Skoda Citigo the same?

Featured Replies

In the SEAT Mii new EV in 2020 article it says Mii petrol engine production ends in July.

Is the Citigo the same and have factory orders closed yet?

You can still configure the Mii on the Seat UK website, same with the Citigo on Skoda’s site.VW are winding down orders for the Up! though.

Seeing they are all built in the same place they are likely winding all 3 down, but production ending July are there about allows a good 9 weeks of production.

Any pre production sightings or news on specs for the UP/Mii/Citigo replacement yet?

There is no replacement. Apparently there is no profit in this sector so VAG are getting out of city cars. They are producing an electric version of the Mii/Citigo/Up so I assume this will be around for the foreseeable.

Perhaps ICE Mii production stopping is related to the electric car production starting in Autumn?

Manufacturers are no longer interested in the petrol engine on its own,so I suppose we will see a lot more models from all manufacturers going to the wall.

Spares are usually available for  8- 10 years after production ceases,so lets hope that is the case.

Hoping to keep mine for that long,as mileage will be low.........

Local dealer advised me today order book 8s closed for the 75bhp engine at least

Is that for the Mii or Citigo?

In Italy, currently Skoda website is offering configuration of all engines but SEAT and, most of all, VW (Up! is by far the most sold of the trio) only offer the 60HP version.

I see that dealers are advertising discounted "Km Zero" (i.e. cars pre-registered by them) at 9 to 10k€, that is a good 25% discount on the list price.

Oh! And the Fabia is now sold only in 95HP/manual version. No more 60 and 75 and no more 115/DSG. I hope this just means they're going to launch a substitute for the Fabia, at least.

Citigo was the car I was researching

@Scimitargtc  Welcome.

What did the salesperson say about the availability of Stock Vehicles or ones with a build slot or already in transit to the UK?
