EGR valve failure

Featured Replies

Anyone had this? 5 year old car 75k miles. Been quoted over £1100 to sort that's them assuming the radiator hasn't been affected.

Last Skoda I'll ever buy unfortunately

EGR valves and coolers are a weak design point on all modern diesels, irrespective of make. I can believe £1100 as it’s £250 ish for non genuine parts, probably £500 for a genuine part, plus a lot of dismantling to get it off.

Has it had the emissions update?

If not, get it booked in & get the EML light reset while parked up outside the dealers.

Known weakpoint of the engine. You should be able to get some goodwill from your dealer.
