Wind Deflectors don't fit

It's best to fit wind deflectors in warm weather, so that the acrylic material is softer and more pliable.

... why the wind deflectors I ordered in November are still sitting indoors waiting for the warmer weather before I fit them B)

I fitted the Hecko wind deflectors to my Scout - I think they are a nice touch, but they can make the wind-noise whilst travelling more intense, but you soon get use to it.

As to fitting; the rear windows don't need clips, the front windows are interesting:

I found I need no clips from the (UK) driver side (RHS), but there was a clip need at the bottom of the window for the passenger side.  In terms of installation, you need to do the install when it is a dry windless day (and ideally above 6C).  The rear windows fit easily and don't interfere with the window mechanism; the fronts do.

On my FL Scout, install as per given instructions - then wind up the window 3/4 of the way.  For the last piece, you need to guide the window into the correct gap, whilst pressing and holding Windows Up key and the wind deflector pulls up tight behind it.  That should it fully installed.

As you can see I have the same car and initially had the same problem. The solution is simple. Once deflectors are fitted and that problem occurs, here is what I did to solve it. When you usually press the window button, it's just a quick press and the window of course goes all the way up. But now it feels resistance as though a hand is trapped in the window, so it safely goes back down again to save injury.. Now the deflectors create that small resistance, so instead of a quick press of the window button, continue to hold the button up while the window makes it's way all the way up and at the same time have a hand on the glass firmly pushing upwards. Your hand pushing the glass up overcomes the resistance. After that, the window system gets to know this and overcomes the small resistance all by itself. This problem initially happened on 2 out of 4 of my windows.  My windows with deflectors have not now been a problem since. Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks yes made perfect sense and worked thanks again
