I need to change the heater matrix in my mk1 fabia vrs and help or tutorials ect would be a massive help thank you.

Remove centre console. Remove the wraparound bit above that. Unbolt and remove at least one of the dash support metal brackets that are behind this wraparound bit (improves access considerably).

 Unbolt airbag ECU from below heater box and slide aside out of the way.  Be gentle with this if battery is still connected; probably wiser to disco battery neg.

Undo clips holding lower part of heater box, and pull downwards. Wrestle off and out, sideways to reveal matrix.

Undo hose fitting in engine bay.

Remove matrix, attempting to keep its connections as high as possible so as to not pour too much coolant on your carpets.

 

That's the gist of it I think.
