Central Door Locking

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an issue with my door locking set up. It is set so all doors lock when you reach about 10mph. It operates fine. When I stop & open the drivers door using the inside door lever I don’t seem to be able to lock the car again by touching the drivers door handle. It does seem to lock ok by touching the exterior door handle if I havn’t activated the central door locking setting.

I am doing something wrong ?

Do you need to lock the door with the key fob button rather than touching the door handle after auto door locking has been in operation.

Thanks.

I may be confused, so to clarify...are you touching the interior, chrome door handle on the drivers side and expecting the car to lock again?

No, sorry, I thought I’d get it wrong.

When I open the drivers door using the chrome lever after the central locking has been in operation, I get out of the car, close the door & when I touch the exterior drivers door handle it doesn’t lock the door. Loving the drivers door by touching the exterior drivers door handle seems to work fine when the central door locking system gas not been in operation.,

Doesn't sound right to me. Mine is set up exactly as you describe and locks fine using the handle. I lock it by running my hand along the handle where the sensor is. Might be worth trying that rather than just touching it?

I have mine set to auto-lock, and I do exactly that everytime I get out and lock the car, and I have no issues.

Does urs only do that if auto-lock is active?

Strange if it does, cause it shouldn't impact the touch handle locking.
