Cruse control retrofit

Featured Replies

I have been to the dealers and they say cruse control cannot be fitted to my 1.4 tsi manual, is this right or is there someone who can do this out there

I’m not sure if that’s true but I honestly doubt it, I had cruise control retrofitted to my Fabia VRS a few weeks ago, I had the work done at AwesomeGti in Manchester, I’d advise you to contact them as they specialize in all VW group vehicles so I’m sure you can get it done there, cost me £349.

This is not necessarily true, there have been many threads on this. You will need the replacement stalks and the car will need the FeC enabled by a dealer. You may also have some wiring missing but it depends on the car. You don’t mention if it’s an S or SE spec car, if it’s an SE it’ll be easier but it’s not going to be cheap as some dealers charge for the FeC code to be added to the car and this cannot be done with VCDS level equipment. It requires ODIS and someone who is capable of using it. If your local dealer cannot help, search around for a good VAG specialist who can.

I just got a quote from Vindis Skoda for 307GBP (all inc) for a retrofit cc for my mk3 vrs.

An old thread.
