Mk1 2007 Fabia VRS SE. When I pull the release handle to drop the double seat down, it comes off in my hand. I need the seat down tomorrow as I am in a bike ride  on Saturday and need the seats flat. Any clues?

Take the wheels off your bike then it'll fit in the boot after removing the parcel shelf, a lot easier than trying to fix the latch without any parts.

i normally leave the back wheel on... thanks . I will try that in the morning....if it stops raining ! 

You'll find that putting the bike in top gear on the back and bottom gear on the front makes the chain loose and it's much easier to get the wheel off plus you know exactly what gear it should be in when you put the wheel back on again.
