Vrs boost levels after stage 1 remap

Hi all

 

Had the car remapped to by a mobile guy who done but I have noticed the psi from my boost gauge is no different to what it was before 6-7 psi on the gauge I have tried a second gauge just incase it was leaking but both read the same can't find any boost leaks

Have you got VAG-COM or similar? Will allow you to see the actual boost.

 

How does the car feel? Does it feel like it's been remapped?

Yes I do have vag com I was going to do some data logging today I was told it was remapped before but it didn't thing like it and there is a tiny improvement but more then likely the driver wish map has been change

Should be more than 6-7 PSI standard? That's around half a bar.

Standard is 10psi may peak to 11 and stabilise to 9. Stage 1 is usually to around 15, stage 2 peak is around 22. Stabilise to around 20/21. Results may vary.

Been doing some digging around today I am getting no codes from Delphi or vag com and found someone have done the spring mod on the actuator I found the spring disconnect and flapping in the wind could this have caused any problems with the boost control valve n75 (think that's it name) or the actuator when on boost it is a solid 6psi the whole time no drop at all

 My box standard low mileage car has had a generic stage one remap.

 

The difference was immediately noticeable with a far broader, fatter  area of torque in the low to middle of the Rev range and emitting  A nice, not too loud turbo boost whoosh.
