You are right, V6 diesel would be nice.

 

The facelift MkIII Superb is Skoda's first hybrid, no doubt bridging the gap before everyone goes all-electric / hydrogen.

 

I'm sure the Kodiaq will benefit from the same technology at some point in the future, but not for a few years yet.

 

No mention by Skoda of any different engines or propulsion systems planned for its facelift expected sometime in 2021, so it'll be a few years after that, by which time the Kodiaq in its current configuration will be due for a complete upgrade, essentially the MkII.

 

So don't 't wait, if you want a Kodiaq get one now.
